What is a gulet?

Gulets were originally built and used by fishermen and sponge divers to transport their catch. Today they have been luxuriously re-designed especially for long sea voyages. They are comfortable vessels and ideal for charters. They are originated from the southwestern coast of Turkey. Bodrum and Marmaris are the main two coastal towns where these traditional sailing vessels are built. The Gulet real design has evolved into a comfortable cruising boat for up to 36 guests in self-contained single, double or triple cabins. In general, gulets vary in length between 14 and 60 meters (52- 190 feet) hence varying passenger capacity. Each cabins with portholes, wardrobe, mirror, air conditioning system and unsuited shower & WC as standard. Master cabins with sofa, dresser, work desk, Jacuzzi or hydro massage shower as additional. All crew cabins are separated. Exceptionally spacious deck areas are complemented by superb sailing equipment, sun mattresses and cushions, offering the promise of the most enjoyable vacation at sea for every charter client, however they wish to spend their time on board. Spacious saloon with dining and lounge area; large aft deck with comfortable aft traditional deck sofa, dining table and bar, fully equipped galley. All gulets have plenty of storage fresh water and fuel. VHF radio, GSM telephones, full navigation equipment, music system, TV and DVD player, refrigerator, ice maker, deepfreeze, fully equipped galley, joker boat, full safety equipment, life raft, life jackets, fire extinguishers keep you comfortable to stay away from port for days and enjoy your holiday to the utmost.
